Frequently asked questions
Which cotton is best for summer kurtas and dresses?
Cotton voile, cambric and cotton linen are light and breathable, so they stay comfortable in hot weather.
What is chikankari cotton?
It is cotton with chikankari, the traditional hand-style embroidery from Lucknow, often in white or pastel shades.
Does cotton fabric shrink?
Cotton can shrink slightly on the first wash. Wash it once in cold water before stitching, or leave a little extra in the measurements.
How do I wash cotton fabric?
Wash in cold water and dry in the shade. Wash dark and printed cotton separately the first few times in case the colour runs.
