Is georgette see-through?
Light plain georgette is slightly sheer, so kurtis and gowns usually need a lining. Heavy georgette is denser and less see-through.
What is the difference between heavy, pearl and cross georgette?
Heavy georgette is thicker with a fuller fall. Pearl georgette has a smooth, soft sheen, and cross georgette has a fine crinkled texture.
How do I wash georgette?
Plain georgette can be hand washed gently in cold water. Embroidered and sequin georgette should be dry cleaned.
Can georgette be dyed?
Yes. Pieces marked dyeable, including white embroidered and Banarasi semi georgette, can be dyed to match your outfit.
